It was learned from Myaing PDF (Pakafa) that 10 soldiers, including one captain, were killed in an attack of local defense forces in Pauk and Myaing Townships in Magway Region.
“At 5:30 p.m. on 27 January, Myaing (Pakaf) battalions, divisions, and the rural defense forces of Myaing attacked the 100 strength of the SAC Military that were making a column near to Tagyi village, Myaing Township where is located on the border of Myaing Township and Pauk Township, and 8 soldiers of the SAC Military were killed and 5 were seriously injuried,” is known.
Similarly, around 2:45 PM, while the local defense forces were inspecting the security of the area in Ohn Tow village that is far from 4 miles from Pauk Township, 4 members of the SAC Military arrived by a Mark-II car and started shooting, and the battle was took place in there.
“While our forces were inspecting the security of the area in Ohn Tow village that is far from 4 miles from Pauk Township, they arrived by a car and started shooting. There were only 4 in a car. Two captains and two soldiers were in car. We surrounded and fired back them.The captain and the sergeant were killed. The other 2 were injured and ran away. They left the car that could not been driven. We didn’t have time to burn it, but we got 1 gun and bullets. It’s not long after the battle, “The Military dogs(soldiers) have arrived and are hiding in there,” Commander Laya, a leader of Myain (PAKAF) said.
This attack was carried out by the People’s Defense Forces Battalion (1) of Myaing Township and Allied Forces, the Pauk- Commander Ghost Group, the Pauk Village Defense Force, and the YDF Battalion.
“1 MA-3, 3 boxes of ammunition, 68 rounds of ammunition, 1 talking machine and 1 bulletproof jacket were seized from the dead of 1 captain and 1 sergeant, and a PDF comrade was shot in the thigh and heel, but his condition was not serious,” he said.
On 26 January, Myaing (Pakaf) attacked soldiers and Pyusawhti who were clearing mines from the Well-2 oil field camp in Myaing Township, nearby Tegyi village, and two soldiers and one Pyusawhti were killed.
The MPA could not confirm the death of the soldiers yet.
