Nearly 2000 from Lay Kay Kaw Fleeing War and In Need of Emergency Help

Nearly 2000 people have become IDPs due to clashes and about 500 people are still trapped in Karen State’s Lay Kay Kaw Myothit which is under the territory of KNU brigade 6, reported by MPA reporter.
Around 1300 IDPs are being separately placed at schools, monasteries and Christian churches.
“Due to clashes, there are nearly 2000 IDPs and hundreds are being trapped. The KNLA forces for preparing to save the trapped ones”, said a reporter on the ground.
In their temporary IDP camps, they are in need of food, drinking water, warming clothing, blankets and shelters, said those who are helping the IDPs.
