The People Liberation Army (PLA) forces, who achieved victories in the battles for control of Hsenwi, Lashio, and Mongmit in northern Shan State, are set to conduct military operations in central Myanmar in collaboration with allied groups, according to reports.
According to PLA the PLA soldiers who demonstrated outstanding service in Operations 1027, both in the first and second phases, were warmly welcomed by local communities at a location in central Myanmar.
“Some PLA units have already returned to central Myanmar, where they will coordinate with other allied forces, including the People Defense Forces (PDF), local PDF groups, and various resistance forces. We will be working together to conduct military operations,” Ni Ni Kyaw,Secretary-General of the PLA told MPA.
Additionally, it has been reported that the PLA soldiers are actively involved in community service activities in their respective areas, providing medical assistance and educational support to the local population.
“We are helping with road repairs, assisting in agricultural activities, renovating religious buildings, and providing support for orphans,” the Secretary-General added.
The PLA operates across various military regions, including Region 1 (Sagaing Region), Region 2 (Ta’ang areas), Region 8 (Tanintharyi Region), and Region 9 (Northeastern Region), conducting joint operations with allied forces in ongoing conflicts.
