Duwa Lashi La, Acting President of the National Unity Government (NUG), has called on anti-junta forces to take relentless action against their adversaries while upholding the highest standards of honesty and integrity toward the people.
During their government meeting on Tuesday, the acting president emphasized the need for relentless action against adversaries while maintaining the highest level of honesty with the people.
“We must attack the enemy mercilessly while being as upright and honest as possible with the people. This is the revolutionary ethic, and I believe it’s the stance we must adopt,” he stated.
“We need to respond to criticisms directed at our government with actions and prove ourselves through our work.”
He highlighted Myanmar’s ongoing struggle with internal political turmoil, exacerbated by the geopolitical rivalries of major global powers. He noted that the involvement of influential regional countries is prolonging the conflict by fueling instability.
“As a nation, we must realistically assess the political landscape of the region and anticipate how to turn shifting dynamics into opportunities for the public,” the acting president said.
“We must seriously explore ways to strengthen our strategic approaches with neighboring countries such as China, Thailand, Bangladesh, and India.”
Meanwhile, NUG Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than stated that 2025 will be a year of intensified efforts to achieve progress across various sectors, including military affairs, politics, foreign relations, and governance. He stressed that all government members must work harder, ensuring thorough coordination and consultation.
He also urged officials to closely monitor emerging political changes while ensuring that revolutionary efforts remain strategically sound, resilient, and well-managed in terms of time, financial, and human resources to achieve their objectives.
