Mahn Win Khaing Than, Prime Minister of the National Unity Government (NUG), has called on all revolutionary forces to unite and take decisive action in the Spring Revolution to dismantle the military dictatorship.
The prime minister made this appeal during a National Unity Government (NUG) meeting on Tuesday.
“If we are not united,” he warned, “they will use the same divisive tactics as in the past to weaken the revolution. To prevent this from happening again, we must stand together and overcome these challenges.”
He stressed that as revolutions progress, they face increasing obstacles. The enemy, he noted, has been suppressing democracy activists for years using various strategies and has managed to regain some international recognition. He cautioned against both overestimating and underestimating their strength.
“They are constantly devising new ways to oppress the people and create division among us,” he added. “At the same time, they will do everything possible to improve their international image. We must remain vigilant, closely monitor their actions, and prepare accordingly.”
During the meeting, U Nay Phone Latt, spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, presented and discussed the findings of the Beyond Sittaung trip.
