The Kokang Army, MNDAA, has prohibited all its government officials and military officers from traveling to the United States, Western countries, and ASEAN member states without permission.
MNDAA stated that it is likely that major changes occur in the national situation following the previous reports that foreign military forces are planning to interfere in Myanmar’s internal affairs, highlighting the prohibitions for individuals related to their party, government and military are aimed at preventing the party and military from being manipulated by external forces and involved in unnecessary disputes and conflicts due to the current complicated situation in the country.
Additionally, MNDAA declared that its members are prohibited from participating in any international conferences related to Myanmar and engaging with journalists from U.S. and Western media outlets without permission, stating that it will not accept any foreign media interviews this year.
MNDAA has also forbidden the expression of personal or organizational positions and opinions on Myanmar’s situation without official consent.
