A Myanmar junta Mi-35 helicopter conducted a 12-minute attack, firing rockets and small arms near Kan Ni Pyu Saw Htee Militia village in Myaing Township on Saturday morning around 10:00 AM.
The assault injured two People’s Defense Force (PDF) soldiers and three civilians, according to local sources from the People’s Defense Team in Myaing Township.
“Ma Gyi Lay Pin village, located near Kan Ni Pyu, has seen frequent military incursions where soldiers arrest civilians, forcing many to flee. The displaced residents have been hiding in the forest, far from the village. The military targeted the area where these civilians were sheltering, and one of the PDF soldiers is now in critical condition,” a local source reported.
Additionally, it was reported that, since October 31, a military column of about 50 troops from Pakokku’s no.101 Light Infantry Division arrested three civilians from Kinn village in Mying Township earlier this morning.
“Three civilians were reportedly arrested this morning. Following the arrests, the military column returned to the monastery in East Chauk Kan village, Pakokku Township,” a source stated.
It is said that this military column has been conducting clearance operations in villages along the Pakokku-Mying border region, serving as a defensive unit for no.101 Light Infantry Division Pakokku.
