Junta troops killed two civilians and detained another in Chauk Township, Magway Region, in response to an attack by the People’s Defense Forces (PDF).
The People’s Defense Forces (PDF) launched an assault on a military column of approximately 100 troops departing from Kone Gyi Pyu Saw Htee Militia Village in Chauk Township early Wednesday.
During their retreat, the troops reportedly killed two men from Htein San Village, according to the Chauk Revolution Army.
“The junta soldiers killed them during the retreat. They didn’t have time to escape. It wasn’t just shooting; it was brutal killing. Even their brains were splattered,” said Ar Gyi, a Chauk Revolution Army official, speaking to MPA.
The attack, which began around 7 a.m. near Htein San Village, resulted in a three-hour firefight.
“There were confirmed hits, but we don’t know the exact details yet,” added the source.
Htein San Village is located about four miles from Kone Gyi Pyu Village. The attack was jointly conducted by the Chauk Revolution Army and allied forces, and all PDF fighters reportedly withdrew without sustaining any casualties.
