A woman was killed, and another was injured as a result of an airstrike by the State Administration Council (SAC) Army in Tintein Yan village, Ye-U Township, Sagaing Region, according to reports.
The incident occurred around 6 PM on 5 October, when a jet fighter fired rockets at Tintein Yan village without apparent reason. A house was destroyed, killing one woman and injuring another. Both women are said to be members of the same family, according to People Defense Team of Ye-U Township (Pa Ka Pha- Ye-U).
“It was an airstrike carried out by a jet fighter. Since it is a model village, it is considered at the town level. It happened while they were inside their home. One person was killed, and another was injured. Their house was completely destroyed,” in-charge of Pa Ka Pha – Ye-U told MPA.
Earlier that same day, at around 3 PM, SAC Army dropped two bombs from a drone on Montaingpin village, injuring three civilians, according to the same source.
“The bombs landed on houses in the village. The victims were inside their homes at the time. One of them is in critical condition, while the other two are not as seriously injured, though they sustained injuries to their lower bodies,” he added.
On 3 October, a woman was also killed in Thanthi village due to artillery fire from the military base inside the Traditional Medicine Hospital of Ye-U town. She was working to dismantle her house when the incident occurred.
