It has been reported that People Defense Force (PDF) is planning to secure permanent control of Sinmaye Village in Yesagyo Township, following the retreat of the State Administration Council (SAC) Army.
On the morning of 24 September, around 5 AM, soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee militias from the Pyu Saw Htee base in Sinmye Village, Yesagyo Township, Magway Region, fled with their families and the injured, using motorboats to cross the Irrawaddy River to a SAC Army’s base in Seik Nyan Village, Myingyan Township, according to information from the Urban Underground Revolution Force (YSO).
“We are making arrangements to secure permanent control of the village. We have been screening the villagers and have started entering the village. Since the camp was attacked on 21 September and airstrikes occurred, there have been no ground or air attacks,” Ko Chan, a company commander of the Urban Underground Revolution Force (YSO) told MPA.
It is also reported that today (25 September), the villagers are being screened and granted permission to re-enter the village.
“They escaped early in the morning, crossing the Irrawaddy River with boats to Seik Nyan Village of Myingyan Township, where a base of SAC Army was located. The families of Pyu Saw Htee members are also there,” said a spokesperson of no.3 Battalion of PDF- Pakokku District.
On 21 September, PDF attacked the Sinmaye base, temporarily withdrew after the clash, and then blockaded the village. Daily drone bombings were carried out until the morning of 24 September, when troops of SAC Army fled.
During the takeover of the base, it was reported that four Pyu Saw Htee members were killed, two were captured alive, and several weapons and ammunition were seized.
It is also known that during the assault, SAC Army launched two attacks with Mi-35 helicopters, two airstrikes with jet fighters, and fired over 30 rounds of heavy artillery from Howitzer.
“When we entered the area for clearance operations, we saw five bunkers in the camp. The bunkers have not been destroyed yet, but we are holding the village,” said U Myo, a spokesperson for the Red Blooded Peacock Guerrilla Force – YSO.
It has been confirmed that resistance forces suffered no casualties during the attack on the base.
It was reported that the operation was carried out by allied forces of the Burma Revolution Rangers, Urban Underground Revolution Force (YSO),no.3 Battalion of PDF- Pakokku District, no.10 Battalion of PDF- Pakokku District, no.2 Battalion of PDF- Pakokku District,no.1 Battalion of PDF- Minhla District,Drone Unit of People Defence Team – Myaing Township (Pa Ka Pha – Myaing), Red Blooded Peacock Guerrilla Force (YSO), Peacock Warriors force of Pakokku, Peacock Brotherhood YSO, RDS, Red Dragon Special Forces Myaing, Myaing alliedForces, Myaing Revolution Team, the 3 Brothers YSO, Dragon Brother YSO, and RC Combined Forces, as well as the RC Plate Battalion.
