Fighting has continued in the vicinity of Taung Khan village, located in Naung Hkio Township, Shan State, according to a statement released by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) late this evening.
On the morning of September 14, clashes erupted at two military outposts in Naung Hkio Township—one at the no. 206 Artillery Battalion and the other at the no. 902 near Taung Khan village. Later in the day, fighting spread to Ma Kyi Yae village, local sources confirmed.
According to the TNLA, SAC Army responded by conducting airstrikes using Y-12 aircraft, dropping 60 bombs in the areas around Taung Khan village, Taung Shwe village, and the no. 354th Artillery Battalionst. In addition, two jet fighter attacks were reportedly carried out near Asia World, and two artillery strikes were launched using Hongwei artillery systems.
Further military activity was reported in Thibaw (Hsipaw) Township, where ammunition was transported to the no.23 Battalion outpost via Y-8 military transport aircraft.
