The Three Brotherhood Alliance has announced that it will report the escalating acts of terrorism by the State Administration Council (SAC), which is close to losing power, to neighboring countries and international organizations.
In that statement released in Myanmar, Chinese, and English languages, the Three Brotherhood Alliance expressed its concerns over the military junta’s daily airstrikes and bombings, describing them as acts of terrorism.
“SAC seems only capable of doing now is conducting airstrikes cowardly so they’ve conducted frequently in recent days. While targeting military objectives might be understandable, they are now bombing civilian targets. Just recent bombing on the Namhkam town was attacking civilian targets. Now in Lashio, bombing for two have harmed civilians,” a soldier of Resistance Force based in Northern Shan State told MPA.
The Three Brotherhood Alliance announced that the junta has been continuously conducting airstrikes, day and night, on towns and villages controlled by resistance forces focusing on areas with civilian populations, densely populated regions, and former military bases that they lost during previous battles.
The Three Brotherhood Alliance also announced that airstrikes have resulted in the deaths and injuries of not only civilians but also captured soldiers of SAC Army and their families.
The Alliance urged the pilots of SAC air force not to participate in such acts of terrorism.
The Arakan Army (AA) announced that on the evening of 9 September, an airstrike by junta forces killed more than 50 people, including prisoners of war who were captured during the battle for Maungdaw.
Earlier that morning (9 September) , an airstrike conducted by SAC Army in Lashio injured at least 12 civilians, according to the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA).
AA announced that on the evening of 8 September, before 7:00 PM, an airstrike by junta forces hit a location in Shainywa village in Pauktaw Township, Rakhine State, where medical treatment was being provided to prisoners of war and detainees. The strike killed 17 people, including high-ranking POW officers and informants of SAC.
TNLA also announced that on 6 September, at around 1:30 Am, SAC Army carried out an airstrike on Nang Hkam town, located in Northern Shan State and controlled by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA). The strike killed 11 civilians, including pregnant women and children, and left 11 others injured.
On the night of September 5, at around 9:00 p.m., the junta bombed the Bangkok IDP camp along the Shan-Karenni border, killing 10 displaced persons and injuring six others.
