The military council conducted airstrikes on Lashio, a city under the administrative control of MNDAA for two consecutive days, according to reports.
On September 9, around 10:30 AM, two bombs were dropped near the Township General Administration Office and on Byuha Road in Lashio, causing civilian casualties, according to Freedom Youth Volunteers-FYV.
“Despite civilian casualties, the detailed information is not yet revealed. The airstrikes occurred on two consecutive days. Many civilians have returned to Lashio, and the military is bombing the city, targeting the civilians to prevent it from returning to normalcy,” a revolutionary from Lashio told MPA.
On September 8, at around 4 AM, the military council also bombed the Indoor Sports Stadium in Lashio and the area near the Silver Sky Hotel.
Additionally, the military council launched another airstrike on Lashio on August 30.
The military council has been continuously targeting towns controlled by the MNDAA and TNLA. On September 6, Nam Kham, under TNLA control, was bombed, killing 11 civilians, including a pregnant woman and children, and injuring 11 others, according to TNLA.
