Revolutionary forces launched a sudden attack on a military convoy advancing near Bago Mountain Range in Minhla Township, Bago Region, reportedly killing seven junta soldiers.
Around 12:30 PM on August 30, revolutionary forces attacked 15 junta soldiers near Sar Chaung Village while they were advancing from San Boke Village in Minhla Township, during which the resistance forces managed to shoot down a military drone of the type DIY Multirotor, according to sources from the Thayarwaddy District Battalion 3 (Myanmar Defense Force).
“Initially, 15 soldiers advanced from San Boke. Later, another 20 followed. There was no clash during the second advance. We had to retreat. Right now, the enemy is stationed in San Boke. Their reinforcements bring the total of around 150 troops,” said Battalion Commander Bo Saw James of Thayarwaddy District Battalion 3 (Myanmar Defense Force).
During the skirmish, one PDF member sustained minor injuries from shrapnel.
“As the military is suffering casualties, they are forcefully conscripting recruits and intensifying their activities, so we urge civilians to take extra caution in public activities,” the commander added.
MPA could not independently verify the casualties of the junta soldiers.
Earlier, on August 15, a similar clash occurred near Sar Chaung Village in Minhla Township between the military council’s troops and revolutionary forces, followed by the military burning down 39 houses in Sa Chaung Village.
