A political columnist based in Yangon said that China threatening Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) to cease all battles is a complete interference in Myanmar’s politics.
Shwe Phee Myay News that based in Northern Shan State firstly released that the Committee of Homeland Security, Shweli City, China sent a threatening letter to TNLA saying if TNLA does not cease the battles, China will use the punishment way and TNLA would be responsible for all the consequences.
“Now, Resistance Forces created a situation that can pressure Pyin Oo Lwin City, Mandalay Region, and Southern Shan State. At that time, this kind of deed is that China is trying to prevent the collapse of SAC by threatening TNLA. This is the complete interference of Myanmar’s politics by China,” a Yangon-based political columnist told MPA.
Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported that Lway Ye Oo, the spokesperson of TNLA, confirmed that it is true that China sent a threatening letter.
It was also mentioned in the letter that China hopes TNLA will cease battles and collaborate with them to maintain the stability of Northern Myanmar and China-Myanmar border areas.
Wan Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, said in the meeting with Min Aung Hling, the military leader who staged the coup, that China’s policy for Myanmar held on non-interfering policy for the good of the people of Myanmar.
