It is reported that the State Administration Council (SAC) Army launched an airstrike on Nganmyargyi village, Ngazun township, Mandalay region causing 2 elders dead and 3 civilians injured.
According to the Ngazun township-based Resistance Force, around 1:30 PM on 27 August, the SAC Army dropped 3 bombs via jetfighter and caused the death of over 60-year-old woman and a man.
“The bomb is the 200-pound bomb, I think. Their target was the school and bombed around it. There was no battle. We just captured it. It was caused by the leak of information when a Resistance Force camps there,” a soldier from Ngazun township-based Resistance Force told MPA.
He said that due to that airstrike, a building from the school was destroyed but all 3 injured civilians are stable.
“A building from the school got destroyed absolutely. Civilians who live near the school got hit. The woman who died got no injuries but, due to the shock wave, she got a heart attack and died,” he continued.
After the capture of Nganmyargyi police station by allied People Defense Forces (PDF) on 19 August, the SAC never re-entered the village.
