Reports indicate that the military council’s 435-436 battalions, located on Thanthumar Road in Mayangon Township, Yangon, were attacked with two remote-controlled mines.
On the evening of August 26, just after 7 PM, the attack was conducted using two remote-controlled mines, according to the information officer of Operation Flame (OF).
“We used two remote-controlled devices. Both mines were deployed near the main entrance gate. One exploded as bait, and when they came to check on the explosion, the second mine was triggered. While there were casualties, the exact ground conditions are not yet clear,” the source told MPA.
Following the attack, the resistance forces successfully withdrew without any injuries.
Reportedly, the junta forces did not conduct searches in the Mayangon area afterward.
