Reports indicate that the military carried out three arbitrary airstrikes on Latwea Village in Natogyi Township, Mandalay Region, resulting in damage to religious buildings.
Around 11 AM on August 21, the military conducted three arbitrary airstrikes on Latwea Village in Natogyi Township, according to the Natogyi Township People’s Defense Force (PDF).
“They dropped bombs three times using jet fighters. The village was previously targeted and burned down by a military column, destroying about 200 homes. No civilians live there anymore, so there were no casualties this time. However, there is a monastery in the village, and some stupas were damaged,” a source from Natogyi Township People’s Defense Force told MPA.
On August 20, the military also launched an arbitrary airstrike on a monastery in Kunnohn Village, Natogyi Township, killing three civilians and injuring four others, including a monk.
