It is reported that the State Administration Council (SAC) army is preparing fortifications in Ngazun City, Mandalay region.
According to a local in Ngazun City, SAC’s army in Ngazun City is preparing defences all around the city starting from the afternoon of 19 August, following the capture of Ngamya Gyi police station, Ngazun township by Resistance Forces.
“They check around the city to prepare defences because they are afraid of the attack by People Defense Force (PDF). Over 100 members of the SAC’s soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee militias entered Ngamya Gyi village. The police station was burned down, and they camped in the village due to the decimation of their units,” a resident from Ngazun City told MPA.
The SAC army is also preparing defences in Shweceti Stupa Hill, Thankone Village, and along the bank of Ayayarwaddy River located in southern areas of Nagzun township.
It is reported that on the morning of 19 August, local allied PDF forces raided the Ngamyar Gyi police station and captured 9 guns as well as 7 prisoners of war, after the raid, PDF burned down the police station and fell back.
According to reports, the SAC army launched 5 airstrikes following the takeover of the police station, although there were no injuries among PDF’s soldiers.
