Reports indicate that the junta air force conducted a couple of airstrikes on the area between Tabayin and Ye-U Townships.
Around 9 AM on August 16 (today), the military used two jet fighters to attack the area between Tabayin and Ye-U Townships, according to the Tabayin Township IDP Supporting Team.
“We know they dropped four bombs. Initial reports suggest the area near Masoeyein and Zeekone Villages on the boundary between Tabayin and Ye-U was targeted. The detailed information hasn’t been known yet. The aerial attack is likely to provide support for the ongoing battles,’ the member of the Tabayin Township IDP Supporting Team, told MPA.
MPA is still in the process of investigating civilian casualties due to the attack.
Since August 15, the junta military has been advancing from Ye-U towards Tabayin Township, prompting the residents from seven villages in Tabayin Township to flee.
