In Hsipaw Township, Shan State, the military junta conducted airstrikes and artillery shellings, which reportedly killed 11 civilians and injured 12 others within five days.
In Hsipaw Township, from August 9 to August 13, the military is conducting aerial attacks and artillery shellings on a daily basis, resulted in the deaths of seven men and four women from Kyaungsu, Okekyin, Tarpoke Villages, Htonesint Ward, Myole Ward, Narlwe, Myo Haung, Konesone Village and Namtpawchaung in Hsipaw Township, according to the today announcement of TNLA.
“Aerial attacks are primary. They have been consecutively bombing towns under MNDAA and TNLA control, targeting civilians. Now in Hsipaw, they didn’t care which civilian got hit by bombing. The Hell Hound is still at large with the international community sitting back content on whatever crime the military commits,” a PDF member based in Northern Shan State explained.
Among the 12 injured persons, a buddhist nun and a child were reportedly included and Hsipaw residents have sought refuge in Kyaukme, Namlan and Panlon.
TNLA also stated that the military junta, upon facing a series of significant defeats, has been bluntly committing War Crimes by continuing civilian targeted aerial attacks and artillery shellings on a daily basis.
In Hsipaw, TNLA and allied forces have launched battles to seize the town, with intense battles occurring as of today (August 14), according to the PDF member.
