Monya-Amyint Road Information announced that an artillery shell fired by the State Administration Council (SAC)’s army exploded in the market of Htanaungtaw village, Monya township, Sagaing region and 11 civilians died as well as 21 injured.
It is said that while SAC’s troops from the gate of Ma Au village on Monya-Mandalay highway, Monya township fired 60-MM mortar and exploded in the market of Htanaungtaw (south) village around 10:00 AM 13 August, 3 men and 8 women died as well as 5 men and 16 women injured.
“The Ma Au gate frequently fired artillery on nearby villages. Htanaungtaw village was destroyed frequently by the raid and burning of SAC’s troops and launched artillery strikes on it,” a comrade of the local resistance force said.
Htanaungtaw village is located beside the Monya-Amyint road.
Monya-Amyint Road Information announced that 2 civilians injured as well as a cow died while artillery shells fired by Ma Au gate exploded in Leltaw village around 12:00 AM, 13 August.
