Reports indicate that PDFs launched an attack on Pwekinywarma Pyu Militia Village in Kyaukpadaung Township, Mandalay Region, resulting in six deaths and capturing weapons and ammunition.
On August 12, at around 2:30 PM, resistance forces attacked Pwekinywarma Pyu Village.
“Five junta soldiers were deployed in the village; the rest were all Pyu militia members. The assault lasted about an hour, raiding the village, destroying a bunker including the houses of the Pyu militia leader and deputy leader. Six deaths were witnessed,” Ko Oak Awe, leader of the OAK AWE Urban Guerrilla Force, told MPA.
It is also reported that they managed to seize two carbines, one pump-action shotgun, three grenades, 98 rounds of carbine, three carbine magazines, and some military equipment from the Pyu Saw Htee members.
Three Revolutionaries sustained minor injuries.
The attack was collaborated by OAK AWE Urban Guerrilla Force, Arlarwaka Urban Guerrilla Force, BaGan Bo Cho Force, Myaing People’s Defense Team, YRF Southern Pauk People’s Defense Team, Magway Region People’s Defense Team, Special Task Force of Magway District People’s Defense Team, Taw ZeeKwt Urban Guerrilla Force, Kyaukpadaung Special Defense Force, Pakokku Township People’s Defense Team, People Defense Force – Thakin Poe Hla Gyi Chauk, Chauk Guerrilla Force (c.g.f), Chauk Revolutionary Army (C.R.A) and Chauk People’s Defense Team.
MPA could not independently verify the casualties to Pyu militia members.
