The Three Brotherhood Alliance has called on China’s intervention to stop the military council from committing war crimes:bombing and killing civilians in towns and villages under their control.

The Three Brotherhood Alliance issued a statement urging the neighboring country,China, and the international community to collectively prevent the military council from bombing public buildings, such as markets, schools, and hospitals, and killing civilians in towns and villages where no battles are taking place.

“The military council, upon facing significant defeat, is relentlessly bombing and killing civilians in towns controlled by the Three Brotherhood Alliance and towns controlled by the PDF as is customary. The whole world can see this. China, our powerful neighbor, has never been considerate about the people of Myanmar; they only care about their own interests. The world is also ignoring the lives of the people of Myanmar to this day. Regardless, we must make our appeal,” a Yangon-based political columnist told MPA.

The political columnist also mentioned that the international community’s neglect of the military council’s arbitrary killing of the people of Myanmar will be a dark chapter in history.

The military council is continuously attacking civilian areas such as markets, schools, hospitals, religious buildings, bridges, towns, and villages with heavy bombs dropped from aircraft in the Three Brotherhood Alliance’s territory: Laukkai, Theinni, Kutkai, Namhsan, and Mrauk-U townships. This ensued with daily deaths and injuries among civilians, according to the Three Brotherhood Alliance.

Additionally, the Three Brotherhood Alliance strongly condemns and denounces the military council’s targeting and bombing of civilians.
