It is reported that the entrance gate of Infantry Battalion 258 stationed in Yesagyo Township, Magway Region, was shot at point-blank range by PDF forces.
On July 26, around 11 AM, a blunt shooting at the entrance gate of Infantry Battalion 258 led to a 20-minute long skirmish, resulting in casualties, according to the announcement of Yesagyo People’s Defense Team (Pa Ah Hpa).
“We shot the checkpoint gate at the very entrance of the military compound. We advanced to the front of the gate and shot bluntly. They also shot back. The gate housed nine junta soldiers,” the information officer of Yesagyo Pa Ah Hpa told MPA.
There may be casualties to the junta’s side due to the skirmish, yet the detailed information is unknown as it is within the military compound, as mentioned by the information officer.
“There may be casualties. But we cannot be assertive because the incident occurred within the military compound,” the information officer noted.
The junta soldiers from the Infantry Battalion 258 came out of the compound, firing arbitrarily.
The skirmish was collaborated by Yesagyo People’s Defense Team and Pakokku District Battalion 9 with safe withdrawal of PDF forces.
