The General Strike Coordination Body (GSCB) is calling people of Myanmar to inscribe the record of the final battle of Spring Revolution with the blood of martyrs.
GSCB is also prompting people to participate as always in Martyrs’ Day by using horn for those who are in a car or motorbike, by paying respect with attention position for those who are walking or are in the houses or shops, and by going to the nearest memorial sculpture of General Aung San or Stone Pillar of Independence to pay respect if you are available at upcoming 10:37 AM, 19 July.
“It is time to take the greatest effort in people’s movements in accordance with the wave by wave intensity of military battles. To use every resource and effort, it is the right time” GSCB announced.
It is said that security protocols are increased near Martyrs’ Mausoleum and household inspection in Sanchaung and Bahan townships are being done since it is almost the time close to the upcoming Martyrs’ Day.
“Household inspection is mainly targeted on the building in Bahan near Martyrs’ Mausoleum. They check very thoroughly. It was on the night of 17 July. The household inspection is also conducted in the flats of Sanchung and Myaynigone townships, too” a resident near Shwe Gone Daing, Bahan township said.
A police officer in Yangon said that the State Administration Council (SAC)’s army is covering the security with more military personnels this year than last year near Martyrs’ Mausoleum.
“We don’t exactly know whether high rank personnels from Naypyidaw will come to Martyrs’ Mausoleum or not. But what we know is that they were ordered to monitor and arrest if there is a strike on Martyrs’ Day,” He said.
GSCB said that just General Strike or the massive people’s movement in which all the people participate can shape the ending target that we all wanted.
