It is reported that a Myanmar prisoner who ran away from Serchhip district prison, Mizoram region, India is still escaping till this morning.
The locals at Vanchengte said that two Myanmar citizens, U Lalchhanhima aged 44 years old and U Lalnunnema aged 31 years old, ran away from Serchhip prison in the evening of 6 July and U Lalchhanhima was captured back on 7 July.
“U Lalchhanhima, who was captured again, fell off the bank. He was wounded,” a local resident of Vanchengte told MPA.
The Serchhip police force is still chasing after U Lalnunnema. U Lalchhanhima was captured again at Vanchengte region which is 12 kilometers away from Serchhip prison.
All India Radio announced that he was rescued by the help of the Serchhip police force and civil Society Organizations and transferred to the Aizawl public hospital to get treatment of the injuries.
The locals of Serchhip said that, while the prisoners put the tools in the garage near the prison gate after they played volleyball inside the prison compound on 6 July, these two prisoners played tricks on the prison guards and ran away from the prison gate.
These two men are from Thantland town, Chin state and they were captured by the Serchhip police force at Daw Lalduhzuali’s house located at Darnam ward, Serchhip town altogether with 1980 AK-47 bullets worth about 1,089,000 Rupee and a motorbike on 7 June.
