The military junta used chemical gas bombs in the battle to take over the town of Loikaw in Kayah (Karenni) State, according to a reliable source.
Some revolutionary comrades reportedly suffered unusual nausea and vomiting due to the use of chemical gas bombs by the military junta in Loikaw battle on November 19.
“The junta started to use poison gas bombs 3 days ago. Some of our comrades suffered nausea and vomited. They felt exhausted and paralyzed. No comrades were killed by the poison gas bombs,” he said.
“We heard the news that the junta will use chemical gas bombs in the Loikaw battle on November 24 and 25,” in charge of Nay Pyi Taw PDF, Bo Tayza, participating in the capture battle of Loikaw, said.
The junta already cut off the phone line and internet line. I have now arrived at the front line of Loikaw, so I get the internet line. We also heard that they would use chemical gas bombs. We will only know if it is a rumor or if it is used. Revolutionary forces also got this information, he said.
The KNDF military source said that the fighting was fierce inside Loikaw from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on November 22, but the junta didn’t launch airstrike.
“The fighting was intense yesterday, but the junta didn’t launch aerial bombardment. It seems they were afraid of being fired by air. A helicopter scouting from above was near the Regional Command Headquarters of Loikaw.” he said.
People living near Nung Yah Lake and City Clock Tower controlled by the junta, were reportedly trapped in their homes during the capture battle of Loikaw, according to MPA’s investigation.
