According to officials, the Chinland Defense Force attacked 4 Kanpetlet bases in Chin State at once, causing 2 soldiers killed and many injured.

Four places _ General Administration Office, B.E.H.S, Township Education Office and Yan Aung Pagoda Hill _ where the SAC troops stationed, were attacked by 5 columns at once yesterday.

“Mainly, we attacked with rifles. 2 soldiers were confirmed to kill. Damage may be more than this. Any injured will be amputated by a shot with a rifle,” a CDF official told MPA.

The CDF comrades were reported to retreat without any harm during this 5-hour battle.

Even after retreating, SAC troops continued to fire into the city with weapons _ but no one was harmed, he continued.

Since 2021, people have fled from their homes in Kanpetlet _ due to city-fighting between SAC and local defense forces _ so only a few people remain in the city.

Almost 200 people are still in Kanpetlet. Some people fled 2 years ago, Saline Nai Chue, Kanpalet Public Administration Secretary, told MPA.

The public are currently warned not to travel and live in areas close to SAC bases _ as further fighting may happen for there is still tension between military and CDF in Kanpetlet.

According to a Kanpetlet resident, SAC troops don’t go out and inspect the town _ so, people are also travelling in a safe place _ where it is far from troops.

Kanpetlet CDF also attacked the General Administration Office and Education Office _ where SAC troops stationed _ causing 3 soldiers killed on September 27.
