T.G.R women’s Drone Unit Leader Kyar Khin Sein said that more than 600 houses were not only destroyed but also two elderly people died in the fire when the SAC troops set fire to the Lethtoketaw village, Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region.
Kyar Khin Sein said that after the soldiers stole valuables from the houses in Lethtoketaw Village on May 5, around 8:00 a.m., they set the houses on fire, and almost the entire village was burnt to the ground.
“They (SAC troops) carefully found things and selected them. They put them in the bags they had. Then they burned the village. They burned 200 houses to ashes, and so the fire caught the whole village. About 600 houses were destroyed. Two elderly people who could not run away when the fire started were caught in the fire and died,” said Kyar Khin Sein.
Myinmu Township Right News reported that Lethtoketaw village has about 700 houses. Two of the people who died in the fire were male. Two people were injured, and many cows and pigs were dead.
“Five villages are currently fleeing the war. The population who is fleeing the war is about 3,000 to 4,000. They are in the woods. People are suffering because of the ferocity of the dogs (SAC troops) in the middle of the hot sun,” said Tiger Khin Sein.
The T.G.R. Female Drone Unit tried to prevent the burning of Lethtoketaw village on May 5th, but they could only do scouting because of the Jammer, and because there were not enough drones, they could not drop any energa bombs.
