The Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and the Kawthoolei Army (KTLA) have issued parallelly statements in the area of KNU Brigade(4), and the attitude of each was tense and disagreed with each other.
The Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) had issued a statement today that all the revolutionary soldiers and PDF comrades who are under Saw Al-Khoi do not want to be considered as the rebels against the People and KNU, so they should separate and leave under Saw Al-Khoi and work together with other organizations fighting for the overthrow of the Military dictatorship.
Saw Al-Khoi is a leader of the KTLA, known as Kawla Pho, and the group of Saw Al-Khoi has stated that tensions between KNLA and KTLA have arisen due to interference in KNU’s administrative affairs and interference with KNU organizations.
Regarding the above statement, MPA asked the KNLA in the area of KNU Brigade (4) that “he replied that “there is no superior. He is going out. I don’t know when he will be back. He will answer when he comes.”
The Sarkasaw Head- Quarters of Kawthoolei Army of Tanintharyi Region also announced today that the PDFs and the people of the Tanintharyi Region should not cooperate with the groups cooperating with the SAC Military.
It is not clearly stated which group is cooperating with the SAC Military.
The Sarkasaw Head- Quarters of Kawthoolei Army of Tanintharyi Region had warned to respect and follow the above statement and said that if they do not comply, the consequences will depend on those who do not comply.
The Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and the Karen National Defense Organization (KNDO) are subordinate forces of the KNU, while the Kawthoolei Army (KTNA) was formed under the leadership of Brigadier Saw Nadal Mya.
