It is reported that people in Zaydipyin IDP Camp are in need of help at Rathetaung Township, Rakhine State.
There are 238 families, including children and the elderly, 589 women, 464 men, and a total population of 1,053 in the IDP camp.
“All the houses are now destroyed. There is no money to renovate the houses. We have no jobs and no money. We want them to give us a house to live in. We want them to support us for livelihood,” a woman who fled the war told MPA.
The IDPs also said that many temporary houses in the IDP camp were damaged and needed to be repaired quickly and that no organization has yet provided assistance to rebuild the homes.
“The livelihoods are not good. It’s been a long time since we received aid. We haven’t received it for four months,” the camp in charge told the MPA.
In Rakhine, a temporary ceasefire between the Arakan Army (AA) and the SAC was announced on November 26, but IDPs have not yet received full assistance.
In Rakhine, there are still more than 100,000 IDPs, including those who have been displaced during the resurgence of fighting, the IDPs and civil society groups say.
