Political analysts say that the meeting of the Federal Political Negotiation and Consultative Committee (FPNCC), known as the Northern Alliance, which took place in Pak Kham city for two days, did not result any unique solutions.
It is stated in today’s statement that the meeting was held for 2 days from March 15 to 16, and the leaders of the northern groups attended the discussion.
A Myanmar political analyst told MPA that ”if I carefully read their statement, I will not find anything unusual. It is obvious that “W” has to do it because China asked him to do it. I don’t see any special decision. It’s for the military revolution”.
Today’s statement by the northern alliances includes 7 points, and the 6th point states that “We welcome and support the intervention of the People’s Republic of China to resolve the internal conflicts in Myanmar.”
The Federal Political Negotiation and Consultative Committee (FPNCC) includes the United Wa State Party (UWSP); the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO); the Peace and Unity Committee (PSC)of Shan/ East Special Region (4); the Shan State Progressive Party (SSPP); the Myanmar National Truth and Justice Party (MNTJP); the United League of Arakan (ULA) and the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF).
These groups are powerful armed resistance groups that are not signatories to the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), but are criticized for their weak official participation in the Spring Revolution against the military dictatorships.
“The military council asked China for help, and the China forces pressure on “Wa”. I see that they are reciprocating because of China’s interests in Myanmar, which is mainly controlled by the SAC military,” a Myanmar political analyst told MPA.
It is also stated in this statement that there are different means to establish a federal democratic union by a comprehensive peacebuilding with mainland of Myanmar, but the minority ethnic groups in the border regions have to rely on only their owned strength and abilities to establish a federal democratic union.
Among the armed resistance organizations in Myanmar, the Northern Alliance groups are the most powerful groups. Among them, the Kokang and AA are providing the military trainings and weapons for the Spring Revolution.
