It is reported that thousands of local residents are fleeing as the Military is deliberately firing heavy weapons into villages in Kwkareik Township, Karen State.
Although there has been no fighting in Kawkareik Township since the morning of March 28, it is peaceful, the SAC is firing heavy weapons into the villages where the locals live, an official of the Southern Eagle PDF, who is serving in the security division of the Albino Tiger Column said.
” Kawkareik is quiet. The heavy weapon from the SAC side is firing. It’s not continuous, but it’s still firing,” he said.
Some of the people in Kawkareik town are also fleeing to the neighboring villages, and the SAC troops are firing heavy weapons at the Yankoke village, Kyaungshar Kone village, and Pyar Pin village, Kawkareik township.
“Villages such as Yankoke, Kyaungshar Kone, and Pyar Pin are heavily affected by weapons. The number of people fleeing the war is a few thousand. The number of villagers in the villages has decreased. The fighting news has not come out, but the battles are happening frequently. As for us, we are going according to the military operation of the Albino Tiger Column. The fighting in Kawkareik started on March 21, 22. It has been going on and on. We have been pressuring the SAC troops. Now we can say that it is quiet for a while. We have not stopped fighting. There is only a quiet and a move,” he said.
He also said that people need to help the revolutionary forces in Karen State, who are currently fighting with the SAC troops, in whatever way they can.
