A comrade from the local said that five people were injured by a large weapon fired by the SAC troops in Kyauk Ta Ga Township, Bago Region.
On March 15th, a large weapon fired from Nat Than Kwin Village near Sittaung Bridge exploded in the Kanyin Kyoe village and Nattalin village, injuring three men and two women due to fragments of shell and damaging two houses and one tractor.
“The fighting has been going on since March 8th. The villages on the brink banks of the Sittaung River are frequently being fired at from the Nat Than Kwin, the Sittaung Bridge.
They are firing at the villages on the river brink banks, so there are some villagers running to safety. Some of them are hiding in bomb shelters. The army has been fighting with the KNLA, and five soldiers have died. Since that day, they have been shooting at the villages with heavy weapons,” he said.
From March 8th to 15th, clashes between the KNLA and the SAC troops were reported.
The Sittaung Bridge near the Nat Than Kwin village is also the main bridge that transports reinforcements and food to the Kyaukgyi side.
It is reported that the people of Nattlin, Kanyin Kyoe, Hlay Tan, Hinthar Wei, and Kyun Kyi villages have been fleeing because the SAC troops are firing recklessly at the villages on the brink of Sittaung Bank.
