The Palaw Regional Defense Force (PRDF) said that they have already warned, but the gun was fired at the front windshield of the Shwe Palaethi passenger express carrying food supplies of the SAC Military.
“On January 26, at around 11:30 a.m. in the morning, Shwe Pulaythi’s passenger express, which was driving from Myeik to Yangon, was stopped and checked by the PRDF forces near Thingan Tow village in Palaw Township based on a solid tip-off,” a leader of the PRDF forces said.
“Yesterday, it was checked. We have already warned Shwe Palaethi passenger express that we saw it carrying food supplies of the SAC Military. If it was loaded, we told to inform the news. Now, they dropped the grain sacks of the SAC Military from Papywatkone to Palatuk. When the pictures have reached us , we asked the passengers and drivers to get down and shoot the car’s window,” he said.
A PRDF officer said that the driver and the helper of the Shwe Palaythi passenger express who did not follow the warning were warned again and the windshield of the car were fired by a gun and hit with a stick by the PRDF forces.
“Yesterday, there were more than 20 passengers. We apologize if the public was disturbed. When the car arrived in Palaw, there was no windshield. They must have removed it. Later, more effective punishment will be applied,” he said.
MPA has investigated that at present, the Battalion (No.285) based in Palaw City and the revolutionary forces are calm without cornered battles, and the Palaw PDF-PRDF and allied forces are inspecting the Myeik-Dawei road.
