It is investigated from the Northern ABSDF (All Burma Students’ Democratic Front) that they are taking care of the domestic animals of displaced people in the villages of Indaw Township, Sagaing Region, to ensure that they have enough food and water.
On May 28, the Northern ABSDF and allied forces had attacked the soldiers of Kha-Ma-Ya 416 stationed in Ywathar village, caused killing 1 sergeant and seriously injuring 2 soldiers. Then, the military troops are patrolling the villages, so more than 1,500 residents from Ywar Tharyar, Mortait, Nantha, Aung Gone and Kyuntaw villages, are fleeing from war to safety.
” The fighting took placed here, and the military troops have arrested the villagers as human shields. Some of the villagers are staying in the houses of relatives in villages far from the column. Some are living in the forest. No people left in the villages. There are cows and pigs left in villages. They have not been released, so our comrades have been feeding them regularly,” said Comrade Ko Saw, who is in charge of ABSDF’s northern intelligence.
On the 25th and 23rd of May, the SAC military attacked with airstrike on Kyuntaw village and Ywar Tharyar village, destroying a monastery, a school, a mill and 2 houses of Kyuntaw village, as well as a monastery of Ywar Tharyar village.
