Some of the local PDFs from Kani, Yinmabin, and Salingyi Townships in Sagaing have been gathered together and formed as the Union Liberation Front (Central).
On May 28, according to the consensus of the forces participating in the Union Liberation Front, the Union Liberation Front announced that three townships will be formed into three columns, with one column per township.
“We intend to gather the scattered forces and attack the SAC as one column. We will share the military costs of the forces in the coalition,” said AT, the information and
communication officer of the Union Liberation Front.
18 Local People’s Defense Forces were gathered in three columns named Comrade Column, Alpha Column, and KLG Column. The Chairman of the Central Committee was democratically elected every six months on a rotating basis, with the right to extend his term for a second term by three months.
All members of the Central Committee, including the Chairman, have the right to be removed if they have committed any crime within 6 months of serving and received more than 75 percent of the no-confidence vote.
