According to the S&C Assistance Group for fire and war hazards and education, kyat hundred million worth (100,000,000) of houses, businesses, and other assistance will be provided to the people affected by the military’s arsons in Sagaing Region this month.
During this month, the S&C announced that they are working hard to support 100 houses, 10 looms, three schools for children who escaped from the war, a private computer training school, and for distributing rice and oil to 13 villages affected by the military’s arson.
“We estimate that a total of 100,000,000 (kyat one hundred million) will be spent,” said an S&C official.
The S&C official said that they are working on starting donating 10 looms to the locals of Htoogyi Village, Shwebo Township, where more than 100 looms were destroyed by the SAC troops on February 20th.
The S&C group has already built and donated 400 houses for the people affected by the military’s arson in Shwe Bo, Depeyin, and Ye U Townships, Sagaing Division.
“The value of a house is different depending on the region. The total cost for 400 houses is over Kyat 80,000,000(Kyat 80 million),” he said.
The cost of a house is 200,000 (Kyat 2 Lakhs), 230,000 (Kyat 2.3 Lakhs), and 250,000 (kyat 2.5 Lakhs). In addition, they said that they have successfully supported nine schools displaced by the war.
