Interview with Poet Maung Saungkha
Q: Please tell us how the “Sunflower Trauma” poetry book came about and when was it written?
A: I have thought of writing a poetry book on the title of “Sunflower Trauma” since before. The poems were written later about the silent pains suffered. The number of poems is few as only about 3 or 4 poems could be composed in an entire year.
Q: What types of poetry styles are there in this book? And how many poems are there?
A: Since I could only write them on chances and upon gaining an urge or motivation, they are of variety. There are only over 30 pieces about love and the revolution.
Q: How many have been sold? How many do you expect to be sold?
A: I only expect about 1000 to be sold. At the moment, only a few have purchased as many don’t know yet that the book has been published.
