Three villages in the southern part of Monywa were looted and burned by the terrorist SAC troops, and it was reported that it lost more than one billion kyats.
In addition to the fact that the terrorist military troops and Pyu Saw Htee (militias) raided the southern part of Monywa Township from November 3rd to 9th and looted and burned public property from Nagadwin Village, Joe Su Village, and Htan Lay Pin Village, and three villagers and six members of the local defense forces were beheaded, according to the Monywa-AMyint Road Information.
It is reported that the total value of the damage is more than one billion kyats, including the houses that were burned, and the property that was looted by the terrorist SAC troops.
“People who fled the war from the villages that were burned are currently living in their own homes. Those whose homes were burned are those who have put up temporary huts in their fields. Some are rebuilding small huts in the surroundings of the burned houses,” an official from the Monywa-AMyint Road Information told the MPA.
It is also known that some of the huts of the local people who were living in temporary huts in the fields were also burnt down by the terrorist SAC troops in the past.
“In Monywa, Nagadwin village, the first time their houses caught fire, there are two families who are rebuilding small huts in the fields. Now, when they caught fire again, those small huts caught fire again. They were set fire twice,” he said.
It is reported that 16 houses in Nagadwin village, a grocery store and 2 houses in Joe Su village, 11 houses, and 20 huts in Htan Lay Pin village were burned.
A resident said that more than 300 million kyats worth of agricultural equipment was destroyed and 3 people were killed in Htan Lay Pin village.
“The Pyu Saw Htee (militias) took the things that they wanted from the village with two trucks,” he said.
At present, the war-affected people of these villages need urgent assistance, according to Monywa-AMyint Road Information.
