A military junta paramotor dropped a bomb on Aing Sauk Village in Paukkhaung Township, Bago Region, killing a woman and injuring her son and 10-year-old granddaughter.
A resident of Paukkhaung Town told MPA that the military junta dropped two bombs on Aing Sauk Village using a paramotor at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
“It hit an entire family. The woman who died was around 50 years old, named Daw San Yi. The two injured are her son and granddaughter. I heard the military is not allowing them to be taken to the hospital,” the resident said.
According to the source, this is the first time the military junta has used a paramotor for an airstrike in Paukkhaung Township.
“Security checks on the Pyay-Paukkhaung road are also very strict,” the resident added.
“There was a clash recently, and it seems like this attack is a retaliation against the public.”
The People’s Defense Force – Paukkhaung Township (PPDF-3601) reported that on Wednesday evening, resistance forces ambushed two military trucks transporting rations and ammunition to junta outposts near Taung Zin Wa Turn, between Pyay and Paungdale towns, killing nine junta soldiers.
