The Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) has announced the capture of five junta soldiers and the seizure of 22 firearms during a clash on the outskirts of Loikaw in Karenni State.
According to a source from the KNDF Central News and Information Department, KNDF, Karenni National People’s Liberation Front, Pa-O National Defense Force, and Loikaw Local PDF jointly attacked a military column departing from Loikaw Town on Tuesday. This military column of the Infantry Battalion-80 operates under the command of the Light Infantry Division-66.
The source told MPA, “We are taking good care of the five captured soldiers from the Infantry Battalion 80.”
The report also indicated that clashes are ongoing between the revolutionary forces, including the KNDF, and the junta troops in an area near the outskirts of Loikaw.
