Mandalay’s People’s Defense Force (PDF) has successfully captured approximately 100 junta army bases in just one year since the launch of Operation 1027. Notable among these victories is the control of Singu Town in Mandalay Region.
MDY-PDF also participated alongside its allies in battles to capture Mogok, Mongmit, Hsipaw, Kyaukme, and Nawnghkio during the year of Operation 1027, according to MDY-PDF’s spokesperson Ko Asmond.
“We have taken complete control of Singu Town in the Mandalay Region. In Northern Shan, we jointly captured Nawnghkio with allies, including the TNLA and other resistance forces,” he told MPA.
Reports also indicate that MDY-PDF’s drone unit also engaged in the battles to capture Mogok, Mongmit, Hsipaw, and Kyaukme.
The MDY-PDF aims to capture and control the Mandalay Region and will continue offensive operations.
The one-year duration of Operation 1027 was remarkable as MDY-PDF achieved significant success and faced substantial losses, reported Ko Asmond.
