It has been reported that SAC Military has carried out another airstrike without apparent reason on the western part of Madaya Township, Mandalay Region.
According to a resident from western Madaya, on the morning of 12 October, at around 8:30 AM and again at approximately 12:30 PM, SAC Military conducted airstrikes in the vicinity of Wa Su, Ton Kone, and Yan Kone villages, located in the western part of Madaya Township.
“Due to the previous airstrike on Wa Su village yesterday, the residents have already fled, so no one was injured. There has been no confrontation between the SAC Military and the resistance groups, even though SAC Military has been advancing. They are simply launching attacks indiscriminately,” a local resident told MPA.
It has also been reported that the military convoy of SAC Army, which departed from base in Panye village (located at the northern gate of Madaya town), has been conducting raids and burning villages in western Madaya.
“The military convoy left Panye Village about a week ago. They have been setting fire to the villages. Last night, they camped in Ton Kone and Yan Kone villages and burned them. At around 6:30 in the evening, there was another airstrike. SAC troops also launched continuous shelling from the Madaya football field, using howitzers and 120mm mortars. This happens almost every night,” the local source continued.
On 11 October, at around 12:30 PM, SAC Air Force carried out an airstrike on Wa Su village, targeting a monastery sheltering civilians displaced by the conflict. The attack killed 12 people, including three monks, and injured 30 others.
On 24 September, resistance forces attacked the SAC Army’s base at Panye village (northern gate of Madaya Town), which is located approximately two miles from Madaya town.
