Over the span of eight days, 24 civilians, including a one-and-a-half-year-old child, were killed as a result of the State Administration Council (SAC) Military’s attacks, according to reports.
Between 1 October and the evening of 8 October , 24 civilians—13 female and 11 male—lost their lives due to attacks by SAC. Among the victims were seven children under the age of 18, including a one-and-a-half-year-old toddler, according to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP).
The AAPP stated that 18 of the deaths were caused by airstrikes launched by the SAC.
“SAC Military is deliberately targeting innocent civilians, committing systematic atrocities and crimes. These figures represent only what AAPP has been able to verify; the actual number of casualties on the ground is likely higher. Those directly responsible for these attacks, as well as those who ordered them, will all be held accountable,” an AAPP official told MPA.
Out of the 24 confirmed deaths, 10 were from Magway Region, making it the area with the highest death toll, according to AAPP.
On the evening of 8 October, around 4:30 PM, SAC Air Force carried out an airstrike on Tin Taing Yan Village in western Ye-U Township, Sagaing Region. The attack claimed the lives of three civilians, including a six-month-old baby, and injured two others.
