The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) announced tonight (7 September) that battles are ongoing in Thaehkaw Village, Magyiye Village, and at the No. 354 Artillery Battalion in Naung Hkio Township, Northern Shan State.
The battle in Thaehkaw Village began around 4:00 AM today, followed by battles in Magyiye Village and at the No. 354 Artillery Battalion at approximately 8:30 AM.
According to TNLA, the State Administration Council (SAC) Army dropped 38 bombs on the No. 902 Artillery Base using Y-12 aircraft, 60 bombs on the No. 354 Artillery Battalion and conducted two airstrikes on Magyiye Village with a fighter jet. Additionally, 83 ammunition packages were dropped on the No. 902 Artillery Base via Y-12 aircraft.
TNLA stated that these battles were triggered by the SAC Army’s offensive efforts to reinforce its troops in Naung Hkio Township from the Kyaukgu military base in Lawksawk Township, Southern Shan State.
