PDF forces successfully seized an air defense base in Tada-U Township, Mandalay Region, and raised the PDF flag, according to reports.
On August 20, around 3 PM, the defense forces launched a large-scale attack on the air defense base which housed approximately 15 military personnel in Tada-U Township, according to Myingyan District Battalion 4.
“This base is located between Tada-U and Natogyi. When we launched the attack with full force, the junta soldiers abandoned the base and fled without firing a single shot. We didn’t even have to fight,” a source from Battalion 4, Myingyan District, told MPA.
During the seizure of the base, they were able to capture some weapons, ammunition, and military equipment. The base was then set on fire and destroyed.
“The junta soldiers who fled ran to another military base within Tada-U Township,” the source added.
The operation was collaborated by Battalion 4 and Battalion 10 from Myingyan District, along with Tada-U People’s Defense Team and the Myingyan District Drone Force.
