PDF forces launched a raid on Nyaunggyitpin Village in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, killing six junta troops.
On August 19, from 5 AM to 6 AM, Nyaunggyitpin Village on the Pakokku-Kanma Road was raided, according to the report of Young Force YG.
“We couldn’t fully seize the area. We can only say it’s fully captured if the area is completely cleared. Since our artillery didn’t explode, we couldn’t fully capture the area,” a member of the Young Force YG, said.
During the attack, the rations stored in the house of a Pyu Saw Htee leader in Nyaunggyitpin were reportedly set on fire and destroyed.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that three junta soldiers were killed during the battle, and according to internal sources, an additional three soldiers also died, with a G3 rifle being seized.
“There were three confirmed deaths from eyewitnesses, and based on the information we received, there were three more. Both Pyu Saw Htee militia and junta soldiers were involved, but the majority were Pyu militia members,” the source added.
Three resistance members reportedly sustained minor injuries from a junta artillery shell during the attack.
