မေလက နေအိမ်တွင် လာရောက် ဖမ်းဆီးရှာဖွေခြင်း ခံခဲ့ရသော အမျိုးသမီးသတင်းထောက်ဖြစ်သူ မသူဇာသည် အဖမ်းခံထားရခြင်းဖြစ်သည်ဟု ၎င်း၏ အမျိုးသား ကိုရဲကိုက အတည်ပြုသည်။
၎င်းနှင့် စက်တင်ဘာ ၁ ရက်နေ့ ညနေပိုင်း ၃ နာရီ ဝန်းကျင်အထိ ဖုန်းအဆက်အသွယ်ရသော်လည်း နောက်ပိုင်းတွင် ဖုန်း အဆက် အသွယ် ပြတ်တောက်ခဲ့ပြီး အဖမ်းခံလိုက်ရကြောင်း သူကပြောသည်။
“ သူ့ကို စက်တင်ဘာ ၁ ရက်၊ နေ့လယ် ၃ နာရီလောက်က သူ့သမီး ဖုန်းဆက်တော့ အပြင်ရောက်နေတယ်ပြောတယ်။ နောက်တော့ ဖုန်းပိတ်သွားတယ်။ ညကလည်း သူအိပ်တဲ့နေရာ ပြန်မလာဘူး။ ဖုန်းလည်း ပိတ်ထားဆဲ။ မနက် ၇ နာရီကျော်လောက်က ဖုန်းပြန်ဖွင့်တယ်။ ခေါ်တာ မကိုင်ဘူး။ တစ်နာရီကျော်ကြာတော့ ဖုန်းပြန်ပိတ်သွားတယ်” ဟု ဆိုသည်။
မသူဇာနေသည့်အိမ်ကို မေလအတွင်းက အကြမ်းဖက်စစ်တပ်နှင့်ရဲ အင်အား ၄၀ ခန့်ဖြင့် ဝင်ရောက်ရှာဖွေ ဖမ်းဆီးခဲ့သော်လည်း သူမက နေအိမ်တွင်မရှိသဖြင့် လွတ်မြောက်ခဲ့သည်။
အဆိုပါ ရှာဖွေမှုတွင် မသူဇာကို မတွေ့ရှိသဖြင့် သူမ၏ အမျိုးသားကိုဖမ်းဆီးသွားခဲ့ပြီး ငါးရက်ခန့်အကြာမှ ပြန်လွှတ်ပေးခဲ့သည်။

Family Confirms Reporter Ma Thuzar Arrested

Woman Reporter Ma Thuzar whose home was raided for a search in May has been arrested, her husband Ko Ye Ko confirmed.
She was still in contact until about 3pm September 3, but she was out of contact after that and had been arrested, he said.
“At about 3pm, September 3, she told her daughter on the phone that she was outside. Then the phone was switched off. She also didn’t return to her bed place that night. The phone is still shut down. But it was on again around 7am but it wasn’t answered. Then it was switched off again after about an hour,” he said.
Ma Thuzar’s home was raided by a force of about 40 soldiers and police but she escaped as she wasn’t at home at the time.
During the raid, since Ma Thuzar wasn’t found, her husband was arrested but freed after five days.
Ma Thuzar has contributed news and articles for the Modern Journal, Ayeyarwaddy News Media, RFA News Media, 7 Days News Media and Friday Time and is an experienced reporter with a nearly 14-year-long experience.
After the military coup, she has worked as a freelance reporter for the Friday Time Journal, MPA and a Korean Media.
Even though she continued to work as a freelance reporter after the February 1st military coup, she stopped working as a reporter since May and had been in hiding.
